BITTEERR!!! The change of location paid off with a solid night of catching better-grade bluefin on jigs. This morning, the action was wide open, with a full-speed bite on 20-30lb bluefin with an occasional 50-60lber. The key to success was fishing a flyline bait on 25-30lb line.

We have officially departed on our Randy Britton 8-Day Memorial Trip, joined by an incredible group of friends dedicated to celebrating his life and memory. On our way out, Matt and Paulina Paulson put together a truly wonderful and emotional giveaway for the group. This one is for you, Randy!

We had a great day of fishing, landing some nice yellowfin tuna with most of the fish falling between 50 and 80 pounds. We're changing things up and trying for some yellowtail tomorrow.

While the wahoo bite was on the slower side for us, the quality of the fish we did land was absolutely phenomenal.

We've been traveling up the line all day, enjoying the nice weather and a smooth ride. As everyone takes the time to break down their gear, Chef Ed and Chef Chuck are hard at work, getting a sushi spread ready for everyone to enjoy. It's a great way to wrap up the trip!

A huge shoutout to Matt and Paulina for stepping in and making this a wonderful trip. We had it all: great yellowfin tuna fishing, wide-open yellowtail action, and beautiful scenery while getting into some wahoo!

Rubios 3 day

We departed yesterday morning on our Western States Metal Roofing trip with the Rubios and a great group of people. We wasted no time getting down to business on the first night, with most of the fish landed weighing over 100 pounds.

While today's bite has been a bit slower, we're hoping for a repeat of last night's action.

After a slow day yesterday, our move paid off big time! We ended the trip on a high note with solid daytime action all day long. A huge thank you to Western Metals, the Rubios, and everyone who joined us for another great year.
