Rice Bowl/SushiMeRolln 7 Day

We're off on our Rice Bowl 7-Day trip with Mike Friedrich (SushiMeRollnSD) and a fun group of anglers! We're traveling south to the fishing grounds, as everyone is busy rigging up their gear enjoying the nice weather. The goal is to get on some yellowtail and yellowfin tuna before the approaching tropical storm arrives.

We had a fun day of yellowfin tuna fishing. The morning was a bit of a grind, sorting through some skipjack, but the afternoon paid off with both numbers and quality. We're now heading up the line to try our luck with yellowtail.

We worked our way up the coast all morning, and our effort was rewarded with some great yellowtail fishing this afternoon.

Another great day of fishing! Everyone got what they wanted on yellowtail, and we spent some time getting into some world-class calico bass action, Indy-style.

We closed out the trip with some excellent halibut fishing, and a mix of exotic species like Sierra mackerel, snapper, and pargos to spice things up.

To top off a perfect trip, Chef Chuck and Rolo rolled out a flawless sushi spread for everyone to enjoy as we cruised home. A huge thank you to Rice Bowl, Mike Friedrich with SushiMeRollnSD, and everyone who made this a trip to remember.

UC Rod 7 Day Bryan Porter

We are officially off on our UC Rod 7-Day trip with Bryan Porter, aka Bubba, and a great group of anglers. After filling up on sardines, we set our course south.

The trip is off to a great start, with Bubba holding an awesome raffle and giveaway, including UC Rods, Penn Reels, and plenty of terminal tackle. As we travel, everyone is staying busy rigging up their gear, anticipating our arrival at the fishing grounds around 10 a.m. tomorrow.

We're off to a good start on the trip, landing some quality tuna this afternoon. While the weather is making things difficult, we're determined to get back out there and try again tomorrow.

We had another fantastic day catching quality yellowfin tuna. With most anglers catching what they wanted, we’re now making our way up the coast to chase yellowtail for tomorrow.

Despite the yellowtail playing hard to get today, we had a fun day of bass fishing. We're now making a move to put us in a better position to try for yellowtail again tomorrow.

We spent yesterday along the coast, and while we managed to connect on a few yellowtail, we had no shortage of fun with calico bass and other species that we released. We're officially calling it a trip and are now on our way home.

Great first day of fishing to kick off our Kimura Tackle 7-Day. The quality yellowfin tuna kept everyone busy with steady action all day, and we even had one standout dorado that lit up the deck. Spirits are high and we’ll be right back at it tomorrow morning

Another outstanding day of tuna fishing on the Kimura Tackle 7-Day. The fish bit steadily and the quality of the tuna kept the rail busy from morning into the afternoon. By the end of the day, most anglers had caught exactly what they were hoping for, filling the fish holds with beautiful yellowfin.

With tuna well covered, the plan now is to change gears. Over the next few days, we’ll be targeting yellowtail and mixing in some inshore fishing to add variety and round out the trip

Awesome day of yellowtail fishing for everyone on board. The bite was wide open — yellowtail were chewing the paint off the irons, and right alongside them the calico bass were just as hungry.Nonstop action

Youngs Tackle 7 Day

We're officially underway on our Young's Tackle 7-Day trip! We took off south yesterday afternoon, and the energy was high as Kevin Kwon, Mac, and others put on an unbelievable giveaway loaded with gear.

This morning, Captain Brian held a killer tackle seminar, unloading a wealth of knowledge on how to get into the yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, and wahoo. Now, the decks are buzzing with action as everyone furiously rigs up, ready for the moment we've all been waiting for—fishing starts tomorrow morning!

The hot streak continues! We had an incredible day of fishing, absolutely crushing it on quality yellowfin tuna. As a bonus, a few dorado showed up to the party. We're now making a run up the coast, ready to go for the slam on yellowtail tomorrow!

What an epic day of yellowtail fishing! They were hitting everything, from yoyo jigs, flyline sardines to surface irons.

 

We're going to try for them again tomorrow morning before we work our way along the coast, looking for bass and other inshore species.

It's a wrap! We put the final spike in the deck yesterday, deck-loading the last run of yellowtail as every angler tagged the fish they wanted!

The celebration was legendary: Chef Chuck and Rolo, with the help of Aaron and Tanner, absolutely crushed it and rolled out a perfect, massive sushi spread for the cruise home.

The Indy Shootout 10-Day has officially left the dock!

After departing yesterday and loading up on bait, we've settled in for the ride south. The team is already working—this morning, Brian led an in-depth seminar on everything Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Yellowtail. Everyone's getting their gear perfectly rigged today, so we'll be ready to rock when the lines drop tomorrow morning.
