Trip 23-F Offshore

by Brian Pifer, 5-18-2023

Hi everyone,

We are checking in from our 3 day trip. It has been tough for us so far. We've had a few chances at catching bluefin. From 20 to 120 pounds and some yellowtail. We've only caught a few fish but have plenty of time to make up for it. Check back tomorrow.

Trip 23-8 Foreman Charter

Saturday May 20

Good morning everyone. We left on our Foreman 3 day charter and headed out to the bluefin zone. We arrived a few hours before the sun went down and saw decent sign around but hard to get a bite. Drove in the dark for a bit until we found our first school. They bit all night for us. We managed one day limits for our first day and are hoping the ball keeps rolling. We'll have an update for you tomorrow.

Trip 23-G Offshore Open 3 Day

by Brian Pifer, 5-24-2023

Hi everyone We've had a decent shot at some nice day time fish. Day time we recommend a 60 pound sinker rig and a 50 pound small jig ranging from 100-200g. Night time fishing has been the go to with jigs ranging from 300g-500g with 100 pound minimum with some fish almost 200 pounds in the mix. You don't want to be under gunned. We'll have an update for you tomorrow.

Roger Eckhardt/Phenix Rod Limited Load 8 day

by Brian Pifer, 5-26-2023

Hey everyone, we departed yesterday afternoon with a lot of familiar faces on our Roger Eckhardt/Phenix Rod Limited Load 8 day. Today we are doing our tackle seminar and rigging everyone up for yellowtail. Spring time fishing on these longer trips have produced some nice yellowtail. We are looking forward to catching yellowtail and taking a break from the bluefin for a few days. We'll be arriving sometime tomorrow afternoon and have an update for you soon.

Yellowtail Frenzy!!

Yellowtail Frenzy!!

Very fun fishing today on surface iron, sliding sinkers, and dropper loops. These yellows are mean machines and a few are up to 50lbs.
