The gang left on a Graftech/Avet/Turners 8 Day Sponsored Trip a few days ago. Checked in with good action on 18-30 plus pound yellows and have had a few bonus catches in between.

Trip 23-11

by Brian Pifer, 6-11-2023

Departured yesterday afternoon on our 8 Day Vince Demaio Reel Adventure with a light load of great people. Today we're making sure everyone is set up with the right gear and ready to go. Still have another day of traveling but we'll be targeting this beautiful grade yellowtail down south. Stay tuned for more

Decent action on 18-30lb yellows with a bonus snowy. Very small window of opportunity on the yellowtail. Seemed like we arrived late but tomorrow is a different day.

On The Move

by Brian Pifer, 6-15-2023

We took off yesterday afternoon from the yellowtail grounds to gain altitude. The weather so far hasn't been in our favor but still have plenty of time for bluefin fishing. We'll be there tomorrow morning so today we are focusing on re rigging everyone from new mono top shots, florocarbon, hooks, and Jigs for night time. Making sure we can capitalize on our bites. We'll check back in tomorrow and let you know how things are going.

3rd- 50-60 pound sinker rig with florocarbon. Both rubber band and drop shot have been effective during day time.

4th- 100lb minimum for night time fishing nothing less. You would need knife jigs or sinker rigs ranging from 300g-500g depending on weather and how fast were drifting.
