Annual Indy Shootout 10 Day

We left yesterday on our annual Indy Shootout 10 Day with a fun group of anglers.
We did our tackle seminar this morning and been traveling down getting ready for tomorrow. We are going to hit the brakes and stopped for yellowtail to start the trip.

Awesome yellowtail fishing to start our Indy Shootout 10 Day.
We had fun fishing on 15-30lb yellowtail all morning drifting. After lunch things slowed down so we decided to bail for the ridge.
We'll be traveling for the rest of today and be hunting for yellowfin tuna tomorrow morning.

Fantastic yellowfin tuna fishing for us today. They didn't rain on but we stayed busy all day.
Most of everyone tagged what they wanted on yellowfin and yellowtail the last 2 days so we are going to head back up the coast to have some fun along the beach for a couple days.

The big bass were on the chew. Fun day along the beach today. Variety of species yellowtail, bass, and pargo.
We will be traveling up the line for the next day and half to get in position for bluefin fishing.

Made a long move back up the line just in time for some good Bluefin tuna fishing today. Some very good opportunities to be had and some heart breaks that goes along. Hoping tonight they decide to bite.

Called it a trip. Lots of driving around today for little results but the last couple days made up for it. The kite bites and epic battles on these beast is something a lot people will never experience.

10 Day Tackle Express/ Phenix Rods

Yesterday afternoon we left on our 10 Day Tackle Express/ Phenix Rods with a light load.
Grabbed our bait for the trip and away we go.
This morning we did our tackle seminar and shortly after Dave did the raffle and giveaways. Some people got needs rods they can put to the test and much more.

Scratched away all morning

We got our anchor down late last night. Waited for daylight to appear in the morning so we can start looking around.
Didn't take long to find a school of yellowtail and get hooked up. We scratched away all morning until noon. Decided to take off to be in position tomorrow morning for yellowfin tuna.
Fantastic day yellowfin tuna fishing 20-35lbs.

For awhile it was every bait that hit the water. 40lb flyline and sureface lures were best.
Everyone tagged what they wanted so we decided to leave and look for some more yellowtail tomorrow. Be at our destination first thing in the morning.

Good yellowtail fishing today

Good yellowtail fishing today on 30lb flyline and sureface iron lures. Everyone caught what they wanted and are saving tags for bluefin. We are heading up the line to spend as much time as we can hunting for big bluefin. The next couple days will be travel mode and seminars. Check back soon.

Today was a travel day for us. We did a bluefin tackle seminar before lunch so everyone can begin to rig up.

Phil Friedman Fishing Adventure 5 Day left yesterday with a great group of anglers.
They loaded up with the bait for the trip and got underway towards the fishing grounds.
Arrived to be greeted with a nice dorado. Saw a few small schools of bluefin but weren't eager to bite.

11 Day Stan Vanderburg Rod and Reel Radio

We departed yesterday morning on our 11 Day Stan Vanderburg Rod & Reel Radio Limited Load Trip with an awesome group of anglers.
We are headed down towards the lower banks, hoping to find some big tuna.
Today we did our tackle seminar in the morning, followed by Stan doing his giveaways and raffle. After lunch we did a little arts and crafts with everyone creating their own wahoo bombs from scratch. First wahoo caught on home made bomb wins an Avet reel with a UC rod.
We still have one more day of travel before we start fishing. Stay toned for more
