Our wahoo mission was a success with a couple of solid bingos coming over the rail today! We had some nice dorado and a few tuna mixed in for variety. Tomorrow, we'll try to find an early tuna bite, then it’s back to grinding for wahoo with the fleet.

We found the golden ticket for yellowtail today! It was an epic session where we kept hooking into hungry fish all day. The yoyo jigs were the key, providing us with constant, steady action.

Another blast of a day! We started strong with steady yellowtail action, quickly getting what we needed. Then came the challenge: hunting wahoo around the offshore kelp. They kept us guessing, but we still scratched out a few nice ones to round out the day.

While the final push for big bluefin was halted by weather, the journey was a massive success! We had an incredible time with a great group, bringing home a variety of fish including yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, wahoo, and dorado.

We officially departed yesterday morning for our 8-Day Adventure with Phil Friedman. Following promising reports of large bluefin tuna, excellent yellowfin tuna, and big wahoo, we are currently making our transit south.

Today is focused on getting everything dialed in. Captain Brian led an informative seminar after breakfast, and the rest of the morning has been dedicated to rigging up. We anticipate dropping lines and starting to fish for that exciting bluefin/yellowfin mix in just a few hours!

The weather is holding up with calm conditions, though the forecast suggests we should expect some rain.

We had a successful start to the fishing yesterday, getting into some great yellowfin tuna action right away. We spent time working our way south today, searching the kelp paddies for the wahoo, but unfortunately, they weren't holding.

 

Despite the unsuccessful wahoo search, we saw plenty of Dorado and even sighted a couple of schools of impressive, large bluefin tuna.

What an incredible day offshore. From the moment we slid in on the first kelp, it was nonstop action. Wahoo lit up the corners, dorado charged through the spread like lightning, and just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, the ocean delivered a full-blown sundowner on yellowfin tuna. Pure chaos

It was another great day targeting and catching wahoo! We've been covering a lot of water over the last few days, and all that hard work has resulted in successfully getting everyone onboard a wahoo!

With the wahoo checked off, we are now planning to change gears and try our luck for yellowtail tomorrow.

After yesterday's slow day of yellowtail fishing along the coast, we made a move to try for yellowfin and bluefin tuna today, which paid off. From first light to sun down we had action on nice bft and yft coming over the rail
