Fresh off a fantastic Roger Eckhardt 8-day trip yesterday morning, we wasted no time with a quick turnaround! We've just departed on another exciting 8-Day journey with Rick Ozaki, sponsored by Graftech Rods, Avet Reels, and Turner's Outdoors, joined by a stellar group of anglers.

This morning was all about getting dialed in! We hosted a comprehensive tackle seminar covering yellowtail, yellowfin, and bluefin strategies. Adding to the excitement, Rick, Kyle, and Mike handed out some awesome giveaways, with a big raffle for Graftech Rods and Avet Reels still to come at dinner tonight!

As we sail into calm weather, everyone's busy prepping their gear, brimming with anticipation for tomorrow's fishing adventure. The vibes are high, and we're ready for action!

Day one of our trip was a big success. We've been experiencing consistent action on nice yellowtail, and even had a great showing of yellowfin tuna to round things out. We'll be back at it tomorrow and excited to see what the next day holds for us.

We just finished day 2, and it was a total knockout! The fishing was phenomenal again today. While the tuna bite was more selective, the fish we landed were incredible. And the yellowtail delivered non-stop fun, with many in the 50-60+ pound class!

We've had another great day of fishing, with yellowfin and yellowtail providing plenty of action! For tomorrow, we're making a strategic move to a new fishing ground, hoping to find more yellowfin and perhaps connect with some bluefin.!

It was an absolute banger of a day to end our trip! We made the move and hit the jackpot with wide-open fishing for both yellowfin tuna and bluefin, making for an unforgettable final day.

We've officially wrapped up our Graftech Rods/Avet Reels/Turner's Outdoors 8-day trip with great success! Our cruise back to port has been in fairly nice weather, and everyone spent yesterday breaking down their gear and getting some much-needed rest.

A huge thanks to Chef Chuck, Chef Casey, and Aaron for an incredible and absolutely delicious sushi spread that kept everyone fueled and happy.

Our annual LA James Stay in School 8-day limited load trip officially kicked off yesterday, and what an exciting start it was! As we departed the harbor, LA hosted an amazing giveaway and raffle, absolutely showering everyone with an incredible haul of swag, jigs, poppers, fluorocarbon, reels, fish mounts, and bags – you name it, he had it!

Today, the focus is all on getting dialed in. We'll be hosting our tackle seminar, making sure everyone is fully prepped and ready for the exciting fishing ahead.

LA James 8 day

It's a wrap! We're heading home after an absolutely stellar LA James 8-day trip. We kicked things off with amazing yellowtail fishing, then moved on to excellent tuna fishing for a great mix of yellowfin and bluefin.

To round out the adventure, we had some fantastic fun along the beach, catching a diverse array of species including exotic white seabass, halibut, pargo, calico bass, sand bass, sheepshead, and all the above species column.

It was nothing but good times with a great group of friends and anglers. A huge thank you to LA James and everyone who joined us for another memorable year. We'll be at the dock tomorrow morning at 0500. See you all there!
