Procoat 3 Day

That was a great way to wrap up the Procoat 3-day. After putting in the work on the bluefin, it was nice to finish the final day with some excellent kelp fishing. We found a few lucky kelps that kept us busy with some quality yellowtail.

4th of July trip

Our 4th of July group had to deal with some challenging conditions but put together a good trip with quality bluefin and solid yellowtail for the finish!

Graftech Rods and Avet Reels 8-day

We departed yesterday morning on our Graftech/Avet Reels 8-Day trip with an awesome group of anglers. We kicked things off this morning with a tackle seminar covering techniques for yellowtail and yellowfin tuna. We wasted no time getting everyone rigged and ready. We've been traveling enjoying the beautiful, sunny, and calm weather. We look forward to starting our fishing operations tomorrow.

We arrived on scene mid-morning to an incredible sign of fish, though they were initially in a non-biting mode. We stuck it out all day, trying numerous anchor jobs despite the tough conditions until the ocean changed at 5:00 PM. We were rewarded with a great couple of hours of fishing for some slug yellowtail. We are hoping they act differently and bite early tomorrow morning!

We had another short window of opportunity first thing this morning on nice yellowtail. In the afternoon, we moved to look at a new area and found some more yellowtail, making for a fun day with a few exotics in the mix. See what tomorrow brings us

We had a bit of excitement first thing this morning, but our window to catch fish was short-lived once again. Jerry did manage to land a nice white seabass, which served as a great bonus fish for the day. We are moving on to explore a different area, and we are hopeful for better results!

Graftech 8 day

We finished off the last few days of the trip fishing the coast. We enjoyed good yellowtail fishing with phenomenal bass fishing, to say the least. Had a pretty cool encounter with a whale shark feeding on bait aswell. We are currently traveling up and will be arriving at 05:00 tomorrow morning.

A big thank you to Allen Smith for stepping in and running the trip for Rick. We also want to thank everyone for another stellar trip—it was, as always, a good time.

Tackle Express 4 Day

We departed yesterday on the Tackle Express 4-day trip with Brett Edmondson and headed straight for the bluefin grounds. It took some time to get the ball rolling, but our persistence paid off with some quality fish. We’re seeing excellent sign this morning and have already put a few fish on the deck during the daylight hours. We’re working hard to stay on them for a productive night bite.

We finished off the trip strong with some more big bluefin last night, followed by some steady yellowtail action this morning.

4 day BITTEERR Jonathan Kincaid

We are officially underway on our 4-day BITTEERR/KOVEX group charter led by Jonathan Kincaid! With an awesome group of people on board— Jonathan and Pamela handing out a mountain of raffle giveaways that felt like Christmas morning. After a quick safety briefing, rods are getting locked and loaded for tonight's bluefin mission. We'll be on the grounds before sunset!

The night bite delivered with some solid bluefin action, and we followed it up by hunting for yellowtail today before the weather stepped in. Since Mother Nature is putting a temporary pause on the fleet for the next few days, we're adjusting our game plan to focus on scoring more yellowtail tomorrow!

We worked around the weather today to scratch at a nice grade of yellowtail. With conditions keeping us on hold, we're sticking to the plan and looking for more yellowtail tomorrow.
